MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR EID AL-FITR

EID; the Muslim celebration that marks the end of the blessed month of Ramadhan. Ramadhan is a one of the best gifts given to the Ummah of Mohamed (saw). Whilst we are in the last few days of Ramadhan try to make the most of it by increasing your ibaadat.

Eid is a day of love, joy and blessings. A day dedicated to spending time with our family’s by celebrating together in love and unity.

These are some tips on how to make the most out of the blessed day of Eid.

1. The night before Eid

The night before Eid is often not appreciated in terms of worship as we are too busy in preparation for the next day. On the last night of Eid, preferably before Maghrib, take time to reflect on the past month, identify what progress you’ve made, try to set goals for the rest of the year and make a list of steps you are going to take to remain consistent in your worship.

In the midst of our preparation take time to sit and make du’a, we were all fortunate enough to enter the blessed month and gain maximum reward throughout. May all our efforts and sacrifices be accepted. In’sha Allah.

The messenger of Allah (saw) said; “There are five nights on which du’a is not rejected: the first night of Rajab, the fifteenth night of Sha’ban, Thursday night, the night before Eid al-Fitr and the night before Eid al-Nahr (al-Adha)” [Suyuti].

Take time to pray for your loved ones that are no longer with us, as this may be the first Eid spent without them the best gift we can offer them is du’a this will allow for them to share the blessings of Eid as well as allow us to remember them and feel their presence on the day of Eid.
