Halaal Souk Return Policy
Items shipped from Halaal Souk can be returned within 30 days of receipt of shipment in most cases. Some products have different policies or requirements associated with them. Be sure to check the return and warranty information in the product description if available. Depending on the item, Halaal Souk will arrange for the collection of the returned item or you (the customer) may need to pay to return the item back to us.
If you (the customer) are to make a return, please make sure that the courier service you use makes use of a tracking system. Halaal Souk will not be held accountable for returned items that do not reach us.
Packaging your item for return
To ensure your request is processed as quickly as possible you are responsible for the following when returning your products;
- package your products safely and securely for protection during transit;
- clearly mark your return reference number on the outside of the parcel; and
- include all accessories and parts that were sold with the product.
Failure to adhere to any of these requirements could delay the processing of your request or result in its decline altogether.
Valid Return Reasons
Halaal Souk will consider your return if any of the following reasons apply;
Damaged by courier – Item was damaged in transit (Halaal Souk will have to be notified within 7 days of receipt). Halaal Souk will arrange for the collection and investigate the damage together with the courier company before granting a refund or replacement.
Defective Items – We do our best to ensure that the products we deliver to you are of a high quality, and in good working order and without defects.
What is a defect? A defect is a material imperfection in the manufacture of a product or any characteristic of a product, which makes the product less acceptable than one would reasonably be entitled to expect in the circumstances.
The following will NOT be regarded as defects and will not entitle you to a return;
- faults resulting from normal wear and tear;
- damage arising from negligence, user abuse or incorrect usage of the product;
- damage arising from electrical surges or sea air corrosion;
- damage arising from a failure to adequately care for the product;
- damage arising from unauthorized alterations to the product;
- where the specifications of a product, although accurately described on the Website and generally fit for its intended purpose, do not suit you.
Products that cannot be returned
Gift and Discount Coupons – When gift or discount coupons are used to purchase an item, the value of the gift or discount coupon used towards the purchase will not be refunded. The gift or discount coupon will not be reissued.
Ebooks and Digital Downloads – Ebooks and Digital downloads are not refundable.
Donations – Donations are not refundable.
Product descriptions contain the details for the warranty for each product. If the product does not have any details regarding warranty, then there is no warranty for the product.
Ensure you enclose the correct and complete item when making a return. We need the correct item returned in order to grant a refund.
To protect our associates and customers, Halaal Souk disposes of incorrect/mistaken returns. If you sent an incorrect item to Halaal Souk, contact Customer Service as soon as possible. We can’t guarantee your item will be found and returned, and we don’t provide compensation for any incorrect/mistaken return disposed of.
Vendor Return Policy
When you order from a Vendor that is registered on Halaal Souk (also called a third party seller), your return is sent back to the seller instead of Halaal Souk. Vendor return policies vary. You can view the return policy of the vendor before you purchase an item by viewing the Returns and Refunds Policy section of the product page.
Our vendors will either arrange for the returned item to be collected or you may have to pay for the return delivery to the vendor.
Make sure that you return the item with a courier company that makes use of a tracking system. Vendors and Halaal Souk will not be responsible for items that do not reach us.
We only refund to the payment method that was originally used to make the purchase. Alternatively, we can provide a credit on your account.
